For nature lovers
Nature around Lake Provala
The Danube, the woods of Labudnjača, wildlife watching at the Plavna hunting ground, the Bač fishpond and Karađorđevo, and further north the Gornje Podunavlje reserve: the nature of western Bačka around the lake.

The Danube and Labudnjača
Provala is part of the Danube floodplain: it is linked to the river underground and its level follows the Danube (Bač vesti). Along the river are the woods of Labudnjača, a settlement belonging to Vajska; the name comes from labud, “swan”.

Plavna hunting ground: wildlife watching
In the woods near the village of Plavna, 16 minutes from the lake, there are guided tours, photo safaris and wildlife watching: deer, wild boar, pheasants, partridges and wild ducks (Wikipedia).
Bač fishpond and Karađorđevo
West of the Slovak village of Selenča lies the Bač fishpond, to the south-west the Karađorđevo hunting ground (Wikipedia). Selenča is about half an hour’s drive.
Gornje Podunavlje
To the north, near Sombor, is the Gornje Podunavlje special reserve, one of Serbia’s most important protected natural areas, with hiking and fishing (Vojvodina Travel). About an hour and a half by car.
The cultural sights nearby (Bač Fortress, Bođani Monastery, Sombor) are on vajska.rs.
